We are writing regarding our experience of buying a property in Spain through Homes Abroad.

We first contacted the Homes-Abroad.net website in January 2015. We told them of our requirements regarding type of property and area.

We came over to Alicante in March 2015 and arranged to meet them for a days viewing.

They sussed us out almost immediately and after a lot of re-arranging showed us around some properties in the Villamartin area.

The final property we viewed seemed to meet all the criteria and after a night to think about it, we decided to go ahead and purchase.

After paying a deposit of 3000 euros, Mark recommended a lawyer and a bank which was right next to the Notario.

Before going to Spain, we were told never to go with the lawyer the Estate Agent recommended! However, we decided after a sleepless night and a lot of deliberation to go with what they recommended. And we are glad we did.

The process continued very smoothly and within six weeks and a return visit to Villamartin we collected the keys to our new property.

We could highly recommend Homes Abroad to everyone. They gave us the whole package - the property, the lawyer, the bank and the Notario. We also made Spanish Wills whilst over there.

Homes Abroad was there all the time whenever we had any queries and gripes!
